You can rent the full hall including the 900-seat theater; or for smaller, more intimate happenings, the newly renovated Beaux Arts Lobby is available for pre-show and post-show private receptions.

Rent the Lobby

The Music Hall’s Beaux Arts Lobby, newly opened in September 2008, is one of Portsmouth’s most popular meet-up and bar locations. Pre-show, post-show, and for special events, this exciting new space offers a perfect suite of amenities, services, and theatrical high style to give your special event a memorable flair. Learn more about the lobby, tour the space and see for yourself. A full bar, catering services and coat check are available in three different rental plans:

A reception for up to 50 people for an hour and half, pre- or post-show.

  • $500 space rental
  • $250 is required for Front of House Manager .
  • $300 bar minimum- cash bar for your guests or you can purchase drink tickets to give out to your guests. Drink tickets provided by The Music Hall.

  • Note: Box office will remain open to the public during reception, but the lobby space is off limits to the public during your event.
  • Your event is scheduled around show times and cannot take place during an event happening in the theater.

The fine print for all events held in the lobby

  • If the event is post-performance, the Founder’s Lobby bar closes at midnight.
