It’s beginning to look a lot like Beauty

While Beauty is pretty much my whole world right now, there are a few other things going on around town this weekend that I wanted to make sure you all had on your radar. On Friday night, not only is it opening night for us, but it’s the Vintage Christmas Kick Off party at the Discover Portsmouth Center. Here you’ll get the first look at the beloved Gingerbread House competition, this is also the first chance you’ll have to vote for The Music Hall’s entry. This party starts at five, giving you plenty of time to head over to celebrate Opening Night!

Saturday is the annual tree lighting and illuminated holiday parade! The tree lighting starts right at 5:30pm and the illuminated parade that is celebrating one of our favorite organizations, the Seacoast Family Food Pantry and it’s 200 years of service to our community will kick off at 6pm. Please note the rain date will be Nov. 4. Town will be insanely busy all day on Saturday, so make sure to plan extra time to park.

This weekend The Candlelight Stroll over at Strawbery Banke Museum starts. Running December 3,4,10,11,16,17, and 18 you have a couple of weekends to make your way over to see the historic homes decorated for the holidays. Don’t forget to check out their outdoor ice skating rink, Puddle Dock Pond.

I’m very excited to share that our friends at The Franklin Oyster House and Jumpin’ Jay’s are offering special three course prix fixe menus to celebrate Beauty and the Beast. Over at Franklin, they have themed their menu to show, they even have a Teapot Trifle for dessert. This menu will be available November 30- December 18. Over at Jumpin’ Jay’s they are featuring some of their greatest hits. The Jumpin’ Jay’s menu will only be available on show days and just until 7pm.

I hope that you’ll take advantage of all of these great events coming up, and I’ll see you at the Theater!
