Member Spotlight: Alex Choquette
Alexis Hahalis: Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Alex Choquette: My name is Alex Choquette, a local resident. I have always liked theater, movies, the Arts and have enjoyed concert, plays and comedy. Since I was very young I remember my parents always giving to others, helping people of need. I have carried on the passion.
My current mission is to help organizations like the Music Hall, raise money, increase awareness & promote the benefits to bring a deeper culture to Portsmouth & help people gain access to the wonderful Music Hall & all they offer.
AH: How did you first get introduced to The Music Hall and what drew you to become a member?
AC: I’ve attended shows at the Music Hall for well over 25 years and have found the variety and quality of shows get better over the last few years. I am amazed when thinking about the great musicians, concerts, shows, comedian,s and movies offered at the Music Hall. The variety of so many talented performers is totally amazing. The Music Hall team is always so welcoming and interested in promoting the arts and supporting a great experience.
AH: For those who may not be members yet, what would you say are some of the “unexpected benefits” of being a Music Hall member?
AC: The benefits of being a Music Hall member are many. The most rewarding benefit is when you become a member you’re now part of a large and welcoming family, we receive premium seats and early awareness for upcoming shows, discounts off tickets and the chance to meet the artist in person. We get together for fun events inside & outside the theater.
AH: You come to a lot of shows here at TMH do you have a favorite one that you’ve seen?
AC:Jay Leno would be this year’s favorite! He was so amazing and had us all laughing hysterically. There are so many other favorites.
AH: If you could have dinner with any five people dead or alive who would be at your table?
AC:Ronald Regan, Thomas Jefferson, Jim Carolan, Tony Robbins, and my mother who’s now 83 years young. These individuals are all mentors of mine.
AH: What Music/ artist/ band are you currently listening to?
AC:I listen to Pandora Beach Bar Radio, it’s a cool variety of melodic, progressive music. Check it out you’ll love it!
