#1 THE NAGLE HOME

This beautiful place looks much like a classic summer Maine home, but it was built in 1997 with the right amount of thoughtful design and the influence of Feng Shui.  Inspired by an old New England brownstone, this home has it all – including a kitchen that capitalizes on the gorgeous water views.

#2 THE KENDALL HOME

The fortunate owner of this place wanted a “forever home’’ with all the right features in all the right places, and she succeeded on every count.  Nowhere more than in the kitchen, which is at once functional and fabulous, with clean lines and an island that invites guests and cooks to congregate in the home’s favorite gathering place.

#3 THE MARRA/MCCARTEN HOME

Here is a big, open home that was renovated to capitalize on the gorgeous views of the surrounding landscape.  The kitchen was a beneficiary of the work as well, with its cantilevered island counter, ample storage and whimsical “Kitchen Gods’’ watching over it all.

#4 BEACH HOUSE RE-DO – Mark Steffen & Randy Price, anchor of Newscenter 5’s EyeOpener

The owners of this 1973 ranch with 180-degree ocean views almost didn’t buy it, but were prompted to do so by their fun-loving friends.  Happily, they now have a transformed home with a kitchen made for entertaining that features nature at its best, including granite that reflects the rocky coastline outside.

#5 THE SEA BARN – The Cinilia Family

This keenly designed smaller home makes every space count – and none more than the kitchen, where historic treasures are part of the attraction.  Expert and eco-friendly design as well as the past and future unite in this awesome living space.

#6 THE GOODWIN HOME

This 1882 home is a dazzling and divine piece of seaside property with modern renovation updates that managed to somehow enhance the historic feel.  That renovation opened up the fabulous kitchen, which includes a breakfast nook with built-in cabinets and French doors leading to a covered porch.

#7 THE RINDLER HOME

This homeowner loves to cook, and Kitchen Tour guests will appreciate and be wowed by her attention to detail in her kitchen.  Function, space and good light are brought together with a contemporary décor that marries so well with antiques in the home.

#8 TIDE’S END – The Mayer/Parsigian Home

This is quite the bonus stop on the Kitchen Tour because when renovating, the homeowners designed a new kitchen and kept the old one!  The new kitchen is spacious and wraps around a central peninsula and is across from the older, well-lit galley style kitchen.  Double the pleasure.

#9 THE ERIKSON HOME

Want to know what it’s like to own a home that was created to put a premium on entertaining? Walk into this classic Kittery Point cottage, with a kitchen designed to cook for a crowd, and find out:  fun color schemes, smart energy use, and enviable views of the Atlantic.
