The road work on 1B in New Castle is finished and the causeway is re-opened
The Music Hall Kitchen Tour is the perfect opportunity to come and see breathtaking kitchen designs and experience the great views New Castle has to offer. According to Ann Kendall, co-chair of the event, “We are very happy to be back in New Castle for our 2012 Music Hall Kitchen Tour. Guests this year will see a wonderful and diverse lineup of homes on the island, from historic to remodeled, traditional to cutting edge. We will have trolleys this year, which I think will make the tour even more enjoyable than ever, although it will also be an ideal tour for the walking and biking crowd. We are, as ever, grateful to all the homeowners who make this event possible.”
Tickets are available for purchase the day of the tour at The Music Hall Box Office and the New Castle Recreation Center/Library (which is near the New Castle Commons Parking area).
Parking is not permitted on any of the streets or at any of the homes. Please only park in the areas indicated on the map. Each parking lot is also a trolley stop and will have a sign indicating that it is Kitchen Tour parking.
As always this is a self-guided tour. An easy-to-follow map will be provided, and tour-goers can start and finish the tour from any parking lot designated on the Map. In addition, for your convenience, we are also providing a trolley service! The trolley will pick guests up and drop them off at several spots along the Tour that are within walking distance of each featured home as well as at designated parking areas. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased before the day of the tour at the Music Hall Box Office or online via the link above. Maps will be sent to all guests a week before the Tour who bought tickets ahead of time. Tour-goers can check their maps to identify some great area restaurants and grab a bite for lunch in New Castle or head to Portsmouth for dinner and Cinco de Mayo celebrations.
For visitors looking to turn their own dreams into reality, the craftsmen, artisans, designers and architects involved in the kitchens are noted in the tour’s guidebook along with detailed descriptions of the kitchens. Many of the fine craftsmen will also be available to speak with during the tour.
“The Kitchen Tour is a perfect way to enjoy a spring Saturday in the Seacoast, and help to support The Music Hall, says Dominique Jackson.” We can’t wait to welcome our guests this year!”
