Here is the author-director picture par excellence, an exciting, stimulating, monumental creation. -Variety

Director, Federico Fellini; Composer, Nino Rota
8 ½ is often considered among Federico Fellini’s best, and most personal, films - indeed among the best films of all time. Composer Giovanni “Nino” Rota was born into a musical family in Milan. A renowned child prodigy, he wrote his first oratorio at age 11, which was performed in both Milan and Paris. He later wrote some of the most cherished and memorable of all film music – for The Godfather Parts I and II, The Leopard, the Zeffirelli Shakespeares, nearly all of Fellini and for more than 140 popular Italian movies.
