Now heralded as Portsmouth’s Nutcracker, “An 1836 Portsmouth Nutcracker” will appear in its 25th season at The Historic Music Hall on December 14-16, 2012. This favorite family holiday past time has been enhanced for the 2012 production and Seacoast audiences will be enchanted like never before by the story of young Clara Goodwin and her heroic Nutcracker Prince. The production features the Goodwin Family who dwelled at Strawbery Banke, a snow storm in front of Market Square’s North Church, and a dream scene that takes place in the Piscataqua River Harbor. Over 100 locally cast dancers and actors fill the stage with classical ballet and brilliant costuming. Full length and abbreviated child friendly performance are available.
