Sinéad O’Connor AKA Magda Davitt - CANCELLED

Signature Sounds and Bright & Lyon present: Sinéad O’Connor AKA Magda Davitt

We’ve just heard from the presenter, Signature Sounds, that: “due to unforeseen circumstances, the performance of Sinéad O’Connor aka Magda Davitt at The Music Hall is canceled. We are very sorry for this inconvenience.” The box office will contact patrons directly and will issue refunds.

Sinéad O‘Connor ranks among the most distinctive and controversial pop music stars of the alternative era, the first and in many ways, the most influential of the numerous female performers whose music dominated airwaves throughout the last decade of the 20th century. Outspoken and a principled truth-speaker, O‘Connor irrevocably altered the image of women in rock. Railing against long-standing stereotypes simply by asserting herself not as a sex object, but as a serious artist, she kick-started a revolt which led the way for performers in numerous genres, all around the world.

Her iconic arrangement of Prince’s “Nothing Compares 2 U” topped the charts internationally for weeks and remains an anthem for people worldwide.
Coming off of a two-year hiatus, O’Connor is slated to begin touring in the summer of 2018, lending her voice and originality to the vast musical landscape of the 21st Century.

O’Connor’s recording and composing history is long and includes her landmark 1987 debut, The Lion and the Cobra, as well as: I Do Not Want What I Haven’t Got (1990), Am I Not Your Girl? (1992), Universal Mother (1994), Faith and Courage (2000), Sean-Nós Nua (2002), Throw Down Your Arms (2005), Theology (2007), How About I Be Me (and You Be You)? (2012), and I’m Not Bossy, I’m the Boss (2014). The extended play Gospel Oak (1997) and live album Live at the Sugar Club (2008) were issued as well. Her compilations consist of five sets—So Far… The Best Of (1997), Sinéad O‘Connor: Best Of (2000), She Who Dwells in the Secret Place of the Most High Shall Abide Under the Shadow of the Almighty (2003), Collaborations (2005) and Essential (2005). In addition, O‘Connor also released four video albums, and overall thirty-four singles.
