Wasted! The Story of Food Waste

Presented in partnership with Chefs Collaborative

Doors at 6pm with complimentary small bites prepared by local chefs who will be on hand to discuss what they are doing in their kitchens to minimize food waste. Panel discussion and Q&A to follow film with Bill McNamara, Director of UNH Hospitality Services; Maile Buker, VP of Marketing at Hannaford Supermarkets; and Josh Jennings, Co-founder of Abundance: Local Farms Local Food, Three River Farmers’ Alliance and Meadow’s Mirth Farm.

From Executive Producer Anthony Bourdain. The film aims to change the way people buy, cook, recycle, and eat food. Through the eyes of chef-heroes like Bourdain, Dan Barber, Mario Batali, Massimo Bottura, and Danny Bowien, audiences will see how the world’s most influential chefs make the most of every kind of food, transforming what most people consider scraps into incredible dishes that create a more secure food system. WASTED! exposes the criminality of food waste and how it’s directly contributing to climate change and shows us how each of us can make small changes – all of them delicious – to solve one of the greatest problems of the 21st Century.
