He'll be touring behind his first album, A Friend of a Friend, recorded in Nashville with Welch, members of Old Crow, Bright Eyes and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Having attended Berklee College of Music, Rawlings achieved his signature sound flatpicking a small archtop guitar. He'll be joined on stage at The Music Hall with Welch and members of Old Crow. After an appearance April 10 on A Prairie Home Companion, this summer he heads to Bonnaroo and the Telluride Bluegrass Festival.– Rolling Stone
