The Emerging Artist Benefit Concert is set to become The Music Hall’s annual fundraising event. As a nonprofit, we are fortunate to partner with donors in fulfilling our mission to invigorate audiences, nurture healthy communities, and drive economic vitality in the region. This fundraising event is a crucial piece in our effort to work toward that mission and stewardship of our resources in a responsible manner while supporting the next generation of superstars.
What does this benefit concert support?
These concerts support The Music Hall’s ability to present artists early in their careers and on their way to the national stage.
What is an Emerging Artist?
We consider an emerging artist to be a performer with an established audience from their region and in some big cities through regional or national touring. These artists are still building their fan base in secondary and tertiary markets (like Portsmouth, NH).
Here are just a few emerging artists that we recently presented at The Music Hall.
With your support, we can continue to program even more!
Carly Pearce
Country music’s “it” girl, Carly Pearce is fiercely confident and rooted in the classics, boasting multiple Platinum tracks and touring alongside Blake Shelton, Rascal Flatts, and Luke Bryan.

Heather Maloney
Heather has toured nationally as a headliner as well as in support of acts like Lake Street Dive, Shakey Graves, Gary Clark Jr., Colin Hay, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and many more. The New York Times called her music “utterly gorgeous, visceral” and SPIN Magazine described her as “stunning, breathy, and starkly memorable.”

Chastity Brown
“A banjo-playing soul-singer,” Chastity Brown supported Ani DiFranco, Dar Williams, and Leon Russell on tour and has been featured on NPR’s “Favorite Sessions,” CMT, American Songwriter, the London Times, Paste Magazine and others.

Erick Baker
Born and raised in Tennessee, Baker creates heartfelt folk and soulful Americana. With a powerful voice that has been described as “a smoke and whiskey tenor with plenty of range and emotion,” Baker has long made “music you can feel that moves the soul.” Erick Baker is a true heart-on-his-sleeve troubadour of soulful folk and Americana.

Chris Pierce
Pierce has done worldwide headlining tours and has performed on stage with Seal, Cold War Kids, Al Green, Rodrigo y Gabriella, Keb’ Mo’, and many more. Pierce’s 2020 collaboration with artist Sunny War in Americana duo WAR & PIERCE yielded hit single “AMEN”.
