Are you the head of a non-profit, board member, or volunteer working to give back to your community? There is a good chance that you are wondering why you or anyone else in your organization would need to worry about cybersecurity. The reality is that if you are using digital services, relying upon email or social media, or have a website for your organization, you need to understand the risks and obligations for your organization and to those you serve in your community. Security and care of information will be seen as an extension of care for your cause. The nature of your policies, scope of coverage, and who implements procedures will vary from organization to organization. This talk will help administrators, leaders, volunteers, and staff understand what is needed, why it is needed, and how best to implement simple, manageable policies and guidelines for any organization. Most importantly, you will learn how to use your cybersecurity practices as a way to further your mission.

Sarah LaChance is a Director of Global Cybersecurity at Liberty Mutual. Her team provides services and solutions for information security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC).
