Simone Porter plays Beethoven with Great Bay Philharmonic Orchestra

Great Bay Philharmonic Orchestra (GBPO) is a regional, all-professional orchestra comprised of the finest musicians from throughout New England and beyond.

We are very pleased to announce that a rising star in the musical world, violin virtuoso Simone Porter, will perform Ludwig van Beethoven’s Violin Concerto in D Major with the GBPO.

With this concert and David Upham in an expanded role as Conductor and Music Director, GBPO is poised to take its place among the great orchestras of the Northeastern United States.

Speaking of Simone Porter, David Upham says, “She is one of the great young talents performing in the world today. Only a handful of artists are recipients of the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant and solo with The New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and other world-class orchestras. We’re thrilled to have her perform the sublime Beethoven Violin Concerto with us, and the jubilant Seventh Symphony will round out a wonderful all-Beethoven program.”

The concert is presented by DAVID WOLD ASSOCIATES LLC, The Closet Connection, Evolve at Rye, and The LaPorta Family.
