Simone Porter plays Beethoven with Great Bay Philharmonic Orchestra

Great Bay Philharmonic Orchestra (GBPO) is a regional, all-professional orchestra comprised of the finest musicians from throughout New England and beyond.

Now, with David Upham continuing in an expanded role as Music Director, GBPO is poised to take its place among the great orchestras of the Northeastern United States.

We’re pleased to announce that a rising star in the musical world, the virtuosic Simone Porter will perform Ludwig Van Beethoven’s Violin Concerto in D Major with the GBPO.

Speaking of Simone Porter, Music Director David Upham says, “She is one of the great young talents performing in the world today. Only a handful of artists win the prestigious Avery Fischer Prize and go on to solo with New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and other world-class orchestras. We’re thrilled to have her perform the sublime Beethoven Violin Concerto with us, and the jubilant Seventh Symphony will round out a wonderful all-Beethoven program.”

The concert is presented by DAVID WOLD ASSOCIATES LLC, The Closet Connection, Evolve at Rye, and The LaPorta Family.
