Providing Tickets to Families for the Holidays
The holiday season is one of gift giving, and what better way to honor that than to give to those in need. This year’s Ogunquit Playhouse production of White Christmas at The Music Hall is the perfect way to celebrate with great performers, sets, and songs, all wrapped up in our festively decorated Historic Theater.
We need your help restarting this holiday tradition! Inspired by Morgan and Tara Rutman, Give the Gift of Magic has grown—in 2019, we gave 349 tickets to local families, and we hope to reach even greater numbers this year.
How it works:
From now through the first week of December, every time you purchase a ticket to any show at The Music Hall, you can give an additional, tax-deductible donation that will help us provide White Christmas tickets to those families in need.
We partner with: Haven, Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Hampshire, Arts in Reach, Greater Seacoast Community Health and Cross Roads House to distribute tickets to families who otherwise wouldn’t be able to come to the show.
Donations are accepted online, in person, or over the phone at the B2W Box Office by calling 603.436.2400.
“We are so fortunate to once again be a beneficiary of The Music Hall’s Give the Gift of Magic campaign,” said Janet Laatsch, CEO of Greater Seacoast Community Health. “This unique opportunity provides an experience many of our families can only dream of. People often forget that some of our Seacoast friends and neighbors struggle this time of year, but these tickets allow parents and their children to create long-lasting memories that are truly priceless.”
Adds Monte Bohanan, Director of Communications & Community Engagement for The Music Hall: “One of the best parts of my job is to help make programs like this come to life. In the summertime, we partner with Gather to fill bellies with our Fill the Hall Food Drive, and in the winter, we get to feed the soul with live performance. It’s rewarding for all of us at The Music Hall to know that more local families will enjoy the holiday magic of White Christmas this season, thanks to our wonderful patrons and amazing partners.”
