Corinne Bailey Rae is an English singer-songwriter from Leeds, England, known for her soulful voice, heartfelt songwriting, and genre-blurring approach.
She first rose to prominence with her self-titled #1 U.K. debut album in 2006, featuring the global hits “Put Your Records On” and “Like A Star.” Over the course of her career she has released four critically acclaimed studio albums — and earned two Grammy Awards (six-time nominee), two MOBOS, two Mercury Music Prizes, and a BET Award for Best International Act.
Her most recent project, the award-winning Black Rainbows, explored diverse musical influences including jazz, house, indie rock, and punk. In 2025, she was also appointed a Patron of the Northern School of Contemporary Dance and will release her first children’s book “Put Your Records On” in March 2026.
