A Centennial Celebration of Miles Davis and John Coltrane
The evening celebrates the centennial year of both Davis and Coltrane (b. 1926), two of jazz’s defining voices. Kind of Blue remains one of the most influential jazz albums ever recorded—a landmark of modal jazz that inspired generations of players and listeners. The concert, part of PMAC’s annual Jazz Night tradition, stays true to the record’s iconic themes and atmosphere while, in the spirit of the original session, leaving room for individuality. Join us to revisit—or discover—Kind of Blue and take in the album anew, shaped by this room and these musicians.
