Responsibly Converting Ocean Discoveries into New Opportunities
The ocean is essential to the health of our planet. Scientists at the Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences study the foundation of global ocean health, using tools from satellites to microscopes to DNA sequencing. Increasingly, scientists are using that knowledge to unlock the potential to improve the future for all life on Earth. In this talk, Bigelow Laboratory’s Vice President for Research, Dr. Beth Orcutt, will share some of the innovative and sustainable new uses of marine life and ocean data to solve problems, creating new opportunities for businesses and community resilience.
