Introducing the Couch to Mic: Pride Edition — a joyful, queer-centered twist on the classic comedy experience! This session is for participants who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+  community.

Couch to Mic has always been and will always be a safe space for all voices, and this special edition is designed by and for the queer community. It’s where shared identity meets shared laughter and where queer joy takes center stage.

Over five classes, LGBTQ+ participants will write, workshop, and rehearse your own original comedy pieces. In week five you will perform live on stage — supported by new friends, chosen family, and a whole lot of love.

The format is the same — the vibe is gloriously gay.

Facilitated by Steph Lazenby and queer comedy dynamo Rachel Neubauer — a four-time C2M alum who’s just as comfortable cueing lights as they are coming out of closets — this session brings mentorship, community, and authenticity.

The final performance will take place on June 30th and is open to the public — all friends, family, and fierce allies are welcome.

Please note that in preparation for the workshop, your comedy piece can be about anything you choose – it does not have to center on your experience being gay – because we are all multi-faceted human beings.
