Although first opened during the pandemic in 2021, The Puddle Dock Restaurant is steeped in history. Located at Strawbery Banke Museum, the Puddle Dock Restaurant is an homage to this area of Portsmouth which was known as the puddle dock.

The restaurant is located in the Dunaway building of Strawbery Banke. Although it looks authentically Colonial, this building was constructed to portray a typical New England country store for the 1964 World’s Fair in New York. Wood for the building came from beams in an old barn in Dover. The building was moved to Strawbery Banke in 1967 and was used first as The Dunaway Store.

Please join us outside on the patio at The Puddle Dock Restaurant for hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Space is limited, RSVPs required.
