Annual Auction Tips & Tricks

Holiday shopping can be daunting and time-consuming, but it doesn’t have to be. This year, shop for everyone on your list with our Annual Auction! Not only will you win fantastic gifts for friends and family, but also you’ll support local businesses and The Music Hall’s community outreach programs like Fill The Hall and the School Days Series Scholarship. To have the best chance of winning, see our auction tips and tricks below. Good luck!

Register — If you haven’t participated in our auction before, be sure to register at Bidding for Good in advance. To register, go here. This way you won’t waste precious time when the auction goes live on November 4!

Don’t Be Shy — You don’t have to be local or a member to bid! We love extending our community and family to those around the country and beyond.

Make a List — Who are you shopping for this holiday season? Make a list of everyone and then check out the categories. You may just find the perfect gift!

Bid Early — That way, you will get notifications when you are outbid and can keep an eye on the items you want.

Share — Since the auction benefits our everyday operations and our community outreach programs, we encourage you to share it with friends and family.  You can make it a fun and friendly competition!

Stay in the Know — Follow our social media and check often for updates and featured items. Plus, keep an eye out for auction items being added all the time.

Big Ticket Items — A few items returning to the offerings were big contenders last year—bid often on Dinner for Two at Newburyport Lighthouse, a French River Cruise, Patriots tickets, and tickets to a taping and meet & greet of Late Night with Seth Meyers.
