Annual Online Holiday Auction Tips & Tricks

We’re keeping the incredible items up for auction secret for a bit longer, but we encourage you to set a reminder for this Sunday, November 8 when our annual auction goes live!

Holiday shopping can be daunting and time-consuming (and this year, it feels nearly impossible) but it doesn’t have to be. This year, shop for everyone on your list with our annual online Holiday Auction! Not only will you win fantastic gifts for friends and family, but also you’ll support local businesses and The Music Hall during a particularly tough time. To have the best chance of winning, see our auction tips and tricks below. Good luck!

Register — If you haven’t participated in our auction before, be sure to register at Bidding for Good in advance. To register, go here. This way you won’t waste precious time when you could be bidding!

Make a List — Who are you shopping for this holiday season? Make a list of everyone and then check out the categories. You may just find the perfect gift!

Bid Early — That way, you will get notifications when you are outbid and can keep an eye on the items you want.

Big Ticket Items — A few items returning to the offerings were big contenders last year—bid often on Dinner for Two at the Newburyport Lighthouse or a private charter flight for six people. And don’t miss out on items such as New England staycation destinations; a private movie night at the Historic Theater; and golf packages galore!

Share Far and Wide — You don’t have to be local or a member to bid! Since the auction benefits our everyday operations and allows us to bring art and thought leaders to the Seacoast, we encourage you to share it with friends and family. You can make it a fun and friendly competition!

Stay in the Know — Follow our social media and check often for updates and featured items. Plus, keep an eye out for auction items being added all the time.
