This month, we are so fortunate to be chosen by our local Hannaford Supermarket (800 Islington St, Portsmouth), to be the recipient of their Bags for a Cause program. This fabulous program is super easy to participate in. All you have to do is go to the Hannaford on Islington Street and purchase the reusable bag pictured above. Member Spotlight: Jackie Gadsden and Laurel Dunn

When I encounter Jackie Gadsden and Laurel Dunn in the coffee shop to talk about this article, I find them deep in conversation with a gentleman seated at their table. As he got up to leave, I was surprised to hear them exchange “nice to meet yous.” Apparently, he was in town from Hawaii visiting family and had tripped on his way into the shop. The three of them struck up a conversation that led to an invitation to their table. If you ever trip grabbing your morning coffee in downtown Portsmouth, I highly recommend running into Jackie and Laurel. There couldn’t be two more friendly, interesting, and charming women to help get your day back on track. Read More Read More

A year in review 2017

It has been a crazy year here at The Music Hall, great shows, amazing authors, hilarious comedians, a few improvements to Chestnut Street, and that’s just a sampling of this past year. As I sat down to write my traditional year in review blog post, I found myself just staring at a blank page. My writers block was real, there was so many great parts of this year, I didn’t know where to start. So I turned to my tried and true writer’s block cure. I put Taylor Swift’s, new album on and just started writing. Soooo I hope you’re ...Ready For It, here is my year in review. Read More Read More

Give the gift of Music Hall Tickets

We all have people on our lists who are impossible to shop for. People who already have everything. As I scroll through endless list proclaiming to have the perfect gift for even the hardest to shop for people on my list, I’m still at a loss. As I was talking to my coworkers about this, I realized, why not give tickets to some of the fabulous shows coming up here at The Music Hall. I also figured, if I’m having trouble, some of you reading this, might also be in the same boat, so I thought I’d pull together a list of shows that would make great gifts.   Read More Read More
