Bella Vita on the Piscataqua River

The remodel of this gorgeous place was finished just last year. The owners wanted it modern. They wanted clean lines. They wanted a contemporary look. They got everything they wanted. The kitchen is sleek and polished and everything is just-so. White, cool grey, silver and glass abound. And as if that wasn’t enough, they got the view. Bella Vita.

Now all of you can see this beautiful home on this year’s Kitchen Tour to benefit The Music Hall. It’s May 7 from 10 am to 4 pm. It’s a walking tour, all in downtown Portsmouth – where the first Kitchen Tour was held in 1992. Ten wonderful homes with ten wonderful kitchens.

You don’t have to wait to see this kitchen, however. Here’s what you do: mosey down to The Music Hall’s box office at 28 Chestnut Street and purchase a copy of the special 25th Anniversary Kitchen Tour Cookbook (it’s only $15 and will make a great Mother’s Day gift – you do know Mother’s Day is the day after the tour, right?). The cookbook is a terrific mix of more than 100 recipes submitted by friends of The Music Hall. And for the many of you who take the Kitchen Tour every year, you’ll be pleased to see photographs in the cookbook of some standout kitchens from previous years. Very cool.

And here’s the thing: the fabulous kitchen on the cookbook’s cover?  You got it. Bella Vita.  That will tease your taste buds until you get to see this space in person.

The date is coming up, so get your Kitchen Tour tickets now. You can buy them at the box office while you’re getting your cookbook, you can go online at themusichall.org, or you can call the theater at 603-436-2400. Tickets also will be available the day of the tour, at the box office, starting at 9 am.

However you get your tickets, just get them. This is an event you don’t want to miss.  Go by yourself.  Go with your mother. Go with somebody else’s mother. Bella Vita awaits.
