A Bright Future Campaign

A Bright Future

This year, as we begin to celebrate our 30th anniversary as a 501(c)3 nonprofit, I’m reminded just how far The Music Hall has come over the last three decades. When I saw my first show at our Historic Theater, it looked a lot different than it does today. The lower lobby didn’t exist, the inside of the theater was painted paper white and peeling off on patrons, our chandelier was a trash can lid with floodlights in it, and our marquee was made of particle board. We knew this theater had great bones, and it was time to think about how we were going to preserve her. Read More Read More

Save the Date to Start Your Holiday Shopping

We are now just a little under a month away for our annual online auction going live on October 29th. Today, our Auction Wrangler, Ashleigh Tucker Pollock gave me a sneak peek at some of the amazing items she and her committee have collected. I thought I’d share my good fortune with all of you and give you a little behind the scenes look at the items that you’ll get to bid on. Read More Read More

When we first came up with the idea for the #MeowsicHall challenge I thought we would get a few submissions of fun, cute pictures and over the last two weeks, I’ve been pleasantly surprised but the almost adorable 200 submissions I’ve gotten. I’ve been obsessively checking The Music Hall’s Instagram account to see what new photos we had been tagged in and I’ll admit I’ve gotten a little attached to these cats (I’ve included some of them in this post). Cat videos take over the Historic Theater Campaign

Cat videos take over the Historic Theater

I have a confession: I follow a cat on Instagram, making me one of Goal Kitty’s 4000+ followers, I also follow an adorable puppy, but that’s for another blog post. As someone who has worked in social media for longer than I care to admit, I’m still fascinated by how popular pictures and videos of cats are. Every time I scroll through any of my social streams I come across at least one video of a cat doing something that is sure to make me smile. Read More Read More

A Month of Appreciation
