Cats, laughs, and cocktails come to the Meowsichall!

We’re pretty excited about the return of the festival and we’ve got some fun contests and tie ins up our sleeves.  If you haven’t yet entered your cat into our #MeowsicHall17 challenge, you’ve still got time. Learn how to enter here. Personally, I’m loving all of the entries and can’t wait to share the winner.

Curator Cats

Thankfully, I’m not the only one on staff who’s counting down the days until we become The Meowsic Hall. We wouldn’t even have the chance without our fabulous curators, who own some adorable cats. Meet Bear and Sophie who are the owners of Thérèse LaGamma (Deputy Director of Programming & Performing Arts Curator) and Chris Curtis (Film and Outreach Manager) respectively. We have these fabulous felines to thank for the CatVideo Festival coming to the Historic Theater.

Our Front of House team have also joined in on the fun and created a couple of festive drinks. I got a sneak peek yesterday to share with all of you. For the kittens joining us, Celeste (the creator of the cocktails) has a mocktail that we’re sure they’re going to love.  The “Scaredy Cat” is made of ginger ale, grenadine, and orange juice, and it’s topped with a cherry! For those of you who are looking for more of an adult drink, we’ve got two options, the “Ginger Tabby” and the “Alley Cat”. The “Ginger Tabby” is a house-infused ginger gin, lemon, and seltzer and the “Alley Cat” is vanilla vodka, simple syrup, and carpe diem Meowsic Hall blend coffee.

Make sure to get them in our Atlantic Grill reusable sippy cups so you can take them with you into the theater. Pro tip, if you save your cup and bring it back each time you order a drink, you’ll save $2 per drink.

Make sure to get your tickets in advance and you’ll be able to avoid the line at our B2W Box Office and you’ll have more time to grab your drink, popcorn, and pick the purrrfect seat.
