Do You Recognize These Familiar Faces?
Did you notice a familiar face or two in our cast announcement? There are a bunch of returning actors in the Annie cast this year from our past productions with the Ogunquit Playhouse. There’s a reason why they return year after year! When we talk to cast members, they always break out into smiles and the fun translates from stage to audience. Join us for this fun and fantastic production and see a familiar face!
Of course, the incredible Sally Struthers returns to our stage as the orphanage director Miss Hannigan. Sally was last here playing Martha Watson in the 2017 production of White Christmas and she has been in many productions at the Ogunquit Playhouse. It’s not her first time playing Miss Hannigan—she played her in the 20th Anniversary National Tour!
Gail Bennett, who plays Oliver Warbucks’ assistant Grace Farrell, was a perfect Mary Poppins in the 2014 production here. We’re so excited that she’s back to play the sweet and dedicated Grace in Annie!
Jeffry Denman, playing the wily Rooster, was last on our stage as Phil Davis in the 2015 production of White Christmas. Don’t miss him, Angie (who plays Lily St. Regis), and Sally dancing and kicking through “Easy Street”!
Members of the ensemble returning from other Ogunquit Playhouse at The Music Hall productions include Ginger Friedman (Elf the Musical), Cheralyn Jean (Beauty and the Beast), David Johnson (White Christmas), and Heather Jane Rolff (Beauty and the Beast)!
