Social on the Seacoast: Don’t Miss the Best Kitchen Tour Ever on Saturday May 4

RB: In addition to seeing the work of top kitchen designers, will we be seeing some innovative do-it-yourself solutions?

DJ: Absolutely! Some of our homeowners this year took “DIY” to a whole new level, with unique features and thoughtful details. People will get many great ideas for everything from tile backsplashes to custom designed wet bars.

RB: How does Portsmouth local history play a role?

DJ: Tour goers will get to see several historical gems, including a home that was built and lived in by a sea captain in the early 1800’s, and a home that was once the location of the first printing press in New Hampshire. It’s amazing how well preserved these home are and how the owners, designers, and contractors were able to stay true to the historical aesthetic while integrating modern amenities.

Tour goers also help to support the arts while having a fun Saturday: proceeds from the tour are used towards operating costs to support The Music Hall, An American Treasure for the Arts.
