The Music Hall’s Beverage Partner, the New Hampshire Liquor & Wine Outlet, invites you to raise your glass to an evening that celebrates discovery, conversation, and the shared joy of wine. On Wednesday, January 21, 2026, the Grappone Conference Center in Concord will host Sommelier Select, the opening event of New England Wine Week and a perfect prelude to Thursday’s New England Winter Wine Spectacular.
Presented by the New Hampshire Liquor & Wine Outlet, Sommelier Select offers guests an immersive night of tasting, learning, and community — an experience designed to deepen appreciation for wine in a relaxed, fun social setting.

The Sommelier Select Experience
This year’s Sommelier Select introduces an exciting new dimension: a blind tasting challenge that invites every attendee to experience wine like a professional. Guests will taste each selection without knowing the label, guided by sommeliers who help them focus on the fundamentals — aroma, color, texture, acidity, and finish.
Using these insights, attendees will evaluate and rank each wine based on their impressions. Once all scores are tallied, the wine earning the highest overall rating will be crowned the Sommelier Select Wine of the Year.
When the tasting concludes, all wines will be revealed, and guests will discover which bottles earned their highest praise. Sommeliers will join in the conversation, comparing notes, sharing their own impressions, and celebrating the diversity of tastes and perspectives in the room.
