Statement Regarding Recent Joint Meeting of the Boards of Lovering Health Center and The Music Hall
The Music Hall today released the following statement regarding a recent joint meeting of the Boards of Lovering Health Center and The Music Hall:
“The Music Hall is renewing our commitment to the values that have always been at our core: trust, inclusivity, accountability, and courageous leadership.
As part of our renewal of these values, The Music Hall Board of Trustees met with the Lovering Health Center Board of Directors and listened to Lovering’s recount of the series of events leading up to the venue cancellation of their fundraiser. We learned more about their in-depth security precautions for all of their events, including their day-to-day operations, always ensuring the safety and security of their attendees and community through necessary precautions. We apologize again to the Lovering Health Center and to the community, and we thank the Lovering Health Center Board for the opportunity to meet directly and listen.
We are grateful for the care and communication shared with us during this period. We have listened, we have learned, and we are acting – with the community at the center of our decisions. Board- as well as staff-led efforts are already underway to guide our actions, including renewed focus on programming, community outreach, and the values that define The Music Hall.
