Freewaves Friday for July 13, 2018
This week’s playlist leads me back to some of music’s greatest icons. If you have not had the chance to listen to John Prine’s latest album, The Tree of Forgiveness, do yourselves a favor and spend some time with it. He is a wonderful songwriter. On this album, he collaborates with Dan Auerbach from the Black Keys. Johnny Marr and Ray Davies continue to write and produce great music. Frank Turner makes a slight departure from his usual punk rock roots in his latest production.
At The Music Hall, we are gearing up for visits by Brazil’s amazing samba and bossa nova star Seu Jorge on Saturday, August 18 and the supremely talented Wood Brothers on Saturday, November 3.
