Freewaves Friday for June 22 2018
Good morning! It’s great to be back on the airwaves after a two-week hiatus. So much new music has come pouring into the station. On tap for this week, I am bringing back a couple of favorites that will be making special appearances in Portsmouth including the incredibly talented Lauren Ruth Ward and Desert Blues band Tinariwen. The Boston Globe recently called out Tinariwen as their top summer pick. They hitting the summer festival circuit and making a special stop at the Music Hall’s historic theater on Wednesday, July 25 just prior to making their way to perform Celebrate Brooklyn’s Summer festival! Lauren Ruth Ward is slated to perform the Music Hall Loft on Thursday, July 19. Her performance this past spring in Austin had critics raving.
