Give the Gift Grows to a Year-round Initiative!
Give the Gift of Magic, an annual initiative to provide complimentary tickets to our Seacoast neighbors in need, has been a feature of the holidays for the last five years. We are so grateful that so many of you contribute to this fund; and for our sponsors, BankProv and Hampton Ford Hyundai; as well as members Morgan and Tara Rutman, who first proposed the idea. The Kane Company and Wilcox Industries also contribute to our efforts to enhance access, underwriting special Veterans Night performances for the past several Music Hall/Ogunquit Playhouse collaborations. Together, over the years, we have helped to create magical holiday memories for hundreds of families, seniors, veterans, and other neighbors!
The Music Hall is always a magical place, and gifts are fun to give year-round, so we have decided this year to expand our Give the Give of Magic program beyond the holiday season. We’ll use the funds raised through our Give the Gift campaign to provide complimentary tickets to performances and events until the end of our season (and maybe beyond!). In this way, we’ll be able to make tickets available to a variety of types of events – Grammy-winning artists, thought-leaders, literary giants, cutting-edge scientists, comedic legends, incredible films, and everything else The Music Hall has to offer.
This initiative will complement other accessibility efforts, such as our School Days Scholarship Program, providing local schools serving students with limited financial resources with complimentary tickets to School Days productions, a program underwritten by Meredith Village Savings Bank.
We offer a special thanks to our Give the Gift community partners – Arts in Reach, Big Brothers Big Sisters of NH, Crossroads House, Greater Seacoast Community Health, and Veterans Count. We are grateful for their assistance in coordinating the distribution of tickets and look forward to strengthening our relationships with year-round interaction.
