Giving Thanks

The Music Hall is a community-supported nonprofit organization. Your membership is the lifeblood of our organization; it allows us to innovate to meet new challenges. Without our members and sponsors, we would not be able to bring the very best of performing and related arts to the Seacoast region or to set a sustainable path for this theater to stand the test of time. In this season of thanksgiving, we are delighted to thank you for your continued support!

As you practice gratitude in your home and community, The Music Hall encourages you to participate in Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving, this year celebrated on November 27, 2018.

The intent for Giving Tuesday is to flip the holiday season from a focus on getting by putting the emphasis back on giving. We start the holidays with Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 22. Then we have Black Friday sales on the 23rd, Small Business Saturday on the 24th, and the surge of internet shopping on Cyber Monday, the 26th. To round out the week, I propose that you turn these days of gluttony into a sandwich of generosity: cap things off with a second slice of whole-grain gratitude “bread” (by which I mean Giving Tuesday).

Music Hall staff will be participating in their own ways. I’ve earmarked some funds for NPR. I’ll also be donating my time at the local soccer field, and some of my blood (separate from the soccer field, of course; I mean at an official donation location).

How will you participate? Here are a few approaches to consider:

  • Join us in the campaign to provide tickets to Elf The Musical to families in need through Give the Gift of Magic.
  • Purchase a Gift Membership to The Music Hall and introduce a friend to the joys of live performance and carefully curated films.  Make your dollars stretch with our BOGO offer; now through December 31st, Buy One membership and Get One membership to give away to someone on your gift list.
  • Help others through gifts of your time, talent, or treasure.
