Savor the Cuisine at Stage Door Cabaret
The Stage Door Cabaret is one of the best and most exciting programming changes we’ve made recently at The Music Hall. We introduced the series set in a speakeasy martini bar on the stage of the Historic Theater last year; this year we brought it back with a new emphasis on glamour. We’re welcoming powerhouse artists to this elegant setting, and we’re presenting an array of sumptuous food and beverage offerings to complement.
The Stage Door Cabaret bar, named McKeon’s in recognition of the generous support of Paul and Jessica McKeon who have underwritten this series, features an expansive list of wines and specialty cocktails. Kevin Walsh, Assistant General Manager and resident mixologist, has assembled an inspiring roster of drinks suited to our roaring ‘20s setting, from gin fizzes to martinis to bathtub punch. And because it’s the holiday season, he’s also included his own blend of eggnog; Kevin’s unique recipe calls for patience and cheer along with the usual liquor and seasonings!
Feel free to come to the show hungry, because Jeff Kamensky, our General Manager, has worked up a menu to match the drink list. The mouthwatering bill of fare includes a delectable charcuterie board, balsamic glazed bruschetta, baked goat cheese, and prosciutto-wrapped dates. I am able to confirm the high quality of our offerings because I got to be a guinea pig in the SDC test kitchen. I enjoy working from home but being back in the office is a treat when Jeff needs tasters to sample his recipes. (It’s hard work, but somebody’s gotta do it!)
We’re offering professional table service for these shows so you can remain seated and still partake. Food and drink menus will be on your table; mark your selections, put your card in your menu stand, and we will collect it and return with your order.
