The Power of Local

Founded in Maine in 1871, Kennebunk Savings has been serving our community since the time of the Historic Theater. It’s that longstanding commitment to the region that makes Kennebunk Savings a natural partner for Writers on a New England Stage. As a Presenting Sponsor of the series, they underwrite visits from celebrated authors like Margaret Atwood, Dan Brown, and Doris Kearns Goodwin. This month we welcome Jared Diamond and Tommy Orange to the stage.

Kennebunk Savings has been supporting The Music Hall in a variety of ways for more than 12 years. They are dedicated to helping their customers and communities prosper, and we are happy to benefit from that commitment! “Partnering with The Music Hall, a local powerhouse, to bring world-class experiences to our community ties in perfectly to our belief in ‘The Power of Local,’” says Brad Paige, President and CEO of Kennebunk Savings. “We are pleased to support this vibrant cultural and community hub.”

The Music Hall is one of many organizations benefiting from Kennebunk Savings’s generosity.  This year, the bank is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its Community Promise program, which gives 10% of its annual after-tax net profit back to the community—more than $13 million to nonprofits since 1994. This year alone the bank is donating a record $1 million to organizations that make a lasting impact on our communities.
