Leaving a Legacy
A quote attributed to the artist Andy Warhol has resonated with me during this turbulent time. He said, “The idea is not to live forever, but to create something that will.” Immediately I thought of The Music Hall, our Historic Theater, and the superlative circle of fans we call the 1878 Legacy Society. Built in 1878, the Historic Theater has weathered some ups and downs. A nonprofit since 1987, The Music Hall can say the same. These days may be like no other, but I am reassured by decades past – and friends for the future – that we are working together to support an organization with the potential to thrive well beyond our lifetime.
The 1878 Legacy Society was created to recognize the generosity of individuals and families who have made, or provided for, gifts to The Music Hall in their estate plans. Members of the 1878 Legacy Society are helping to ensure the long-term viability and success of The Music Hall for future generations. Please join us in thanking these individuals who have prioritized The Music Hall, identifying it as a place that exhilarates, engages, and transforms our patrons’ lives while creating a sense of community.
