Today, we’re announcing our our new season and while none of us can believe that we’re launching a new season already, we’re also super excited for all of the shows coming to TMH. With over 20 new shows going on sale on June 3, I thought I’d reach out to our curatorial team to see what shows they were most excited to present. Read More

Flip through a stack of past Kitchen Tour guide books and one name will start to look very familiar: Dovetailed Kitchens. In addition to sponsoring the event since 2003, Scott Purswell, President of Dovetailed Kitchens, donates his time as well; for the past six years he has served as a member of the Tour organizing committee.Read More

When I first started here at The Music Hall, I was surprised to see how diverse our members interests were. Some members are avid readers who joined because of our Writers events, some love film, others are Opera Fans, and then there are the members who love the social aspect of coming to a show. This diversity in membership in turn inspired our Music Hall Social Clubs. These Clubs are a great way to meet other members, learn something new, and celebrate what you love most about TMH. For those of you who aren’t familiar with our clubs, I thought I’d share some information about each of them with you today.Read More

To love Portsmouth is to love its history. It is 16.8 square miles of grand old homes in grand old neighborhoods. It has a working seaport with its own special backstory. It has a front row seat along the Piscataqua and a terrific sight line toward the Isles of Shoals.
But about those neighborhoods. They tell the story of Portsmouth as well as any of our beloved city’s features. And this year’s Kitchen Tour to Benefit The Music Hall is centered in the Little Harbour neighborhood, among the city’s most popular communities.Read More

It’s that time of year again, it’s the week of the Kitchen Tour. This year, I’m sidelined with my broken ankle (but I will say my fabulous cast was decorated by Ashleigh Tucker Pollock, our force behind the tour) so I won’t be able to join in on all of the fun, so I thought I’d share some helpful hints. This year, we’re touring the Little Harbour neighborhood, just steps from downtown Portsmouth.Read More
