It’s that time of year again, it’s the week of the Kitchen Tour. This year, I’m sidelined with my broken ankle (but I will say my fabulous cast was decorated by Ashleigh Tucker Pollock, our force behind the tour) so I won’t be able to join in on all of the fun, so I thought I’d share some helpful hints. This year, we’re touring the Little Harbour neighborhood, just steps from downtown Portsmouth.Read More

As the Membership Coordinator here at The Music Hall, I get to interact with all of our fantastic members. As we were talking about fun new ways to celebrate May Membership Month, I thought it would be great to interview some of our members. Keep an eye on our Monthly Magazine to get a sneak peek of who we are highlighting.
This month, I’m so excited to kick off this fun series with Lisa Urdanoff, owner of Coastal Canine, from North Hampton. We talk about her what shows she’s loved, what her background is, and why she’s proud to be a Music Hall member. Check out my interview with her below.Read More

It’s Membership May, my very favorite month here at The Music Hall! This month, we celebrate you, our members, whose support allows us bring world class artists like Diana Krall, Jay Leno, and Chris Botti to our Historic Theater, up-and-coming artist to the Loft like Margo Price and DakhaBrakha, to be the place for art house cinema, and to welcome celebrated authors like Judy Blume and Anthony Doerr, and so much more. You may have noticed that there are three shows in this enews that you didn’t see in your copy of the Monthly Magazine. I have to be honest, I’m not sure what one of these shows I’m more excited to see. As I have been a bit out of commission this week with a broken ankle (don’t worry I’m doing okay, and even have a hot pink bedazzled cast) I’ve had some time to do some research on these new shows for you. People who find their forever homes are fortunate people. They love a place so much they never want to leave it. Talk about a dream home. That’s what the good folks at 86 Ridges Court found when they moved into their little slice of heaven near the Piscataqua River 32 years ago. Good for them. And good for all of us who love The Kitchen Tour to Benefit The Music Hall, as we have one of the residents here to thank. She was a founding member of the theater’s board and co-chair of the inaugural tour. And she’s still giving back by welcoming us into her delightful kitchen this year. Read More

You get to spend a fun day with family and friends. And you get to see some kitchens you might never have imagined resided on the Seacoast.Read More

I hate to admit it, but I’ve never seen a Met Broadcast at The Music Hall. I go in and give the welcome speech, but slip out as just as the music starts to swell. Now, as we are announcing our next Met season, I figured this was the perfect time to experience my first show and learn a little bit about the opera. Read More

The kitchen that I’m writing about today, one of 12 on the upcoming 26th Annual Kitchen Tour to Benefit The Music Hall, is in a lovely home in Portsmouth. One of those old and grand places that you love driving by, the kind that make you know Portsmouth is a special place with a special history.Read More
